Falling for {save}!
- by Michelle BrownleeAs the weather begins to change here in Virginia, my family and I are loving apple season in the Shenandoah Valley. There are many farms nearby, so we are lucky enough to have as much cider, apple pie and fresh apples as we can handle!
This is our second fall in the area, and we are blown away by the gorgeous colors. The leaves are changing from green to red, orange and yellow; an amazing kaleidoscope of colors all over the mountains. It’s a beautiful sight, which I highly recommend! Although the weather is changing, the kids and I are spending as much time as possible outside. We hike often, and like finding new places to explore.
As Fall begins and the cool air descends into the Valley, I realized that I need I need to make some changes to my skincare routine.
I’ve learned that environmental factors, such as climate change and pollution can change the condition of your skin, and changing your routine can help.
In the summer, my routine has revolved around clean and lighter products. Now, in the Fall I need a bit more hydration. {save}’s anti-pollution line features ectoin. I’ve used this occasionally over the summer, but now I’m using the line more often.
Ectoin, is a natural and extremely powerful ingredient repairs skin's protective barrier and brings various other benefits. It shields your skin from damage caused by pollution and UV light by supporting skin cells in their defense mechanisms. It decreases the visibility of photo-aging effects, wrinkles and dark spots. It perfectly soothes and calms irritations, but gentle enough to be suitable for sensitive skin.
Right now, my routine consists of the Hydrating Facial Cleanser, and Anti-pollution Moisturizer. I use the Gentle Gommage Exfoliator once or twice per week. Before bed, I use the Anti-pollution Sleeping Mask and Vitamin C Booster when I need a bit more hydration, especially if I’ve been outside for a few hours. What I love about {save} is that I can feel confident using any and all products without any concern for my sensitive skin.
I hope you are able to enjoy the changing season, I’ll have a tall glass of cider for you!
Michelle
