Soothing, Calming, Healing Nature

by {save}

When you really start to think about it, our faces get a lot of exposure. Sun, smoke, wind, smog, make-up, and even other products not intended for the face that we use elsewhere or even consume.

It makes sense to pamper your skin when you can and using gentle ingredients can calm and soothe tired and stressed skin. Even skin that is in perfectly fine condition can benefit from some of our favorite calming ingredients like CICA, matcha, allantion and probiotics to help keep it balanced.

Whether you know it as Cica or Centella Asiatica, it is an ingredient that is gaining attention for it's wound healing properties. It has been said that tigers in Asia used to roll in it to benefit from their own healing of battle wounds.

Allantion is one of my favorites for its calming, soothing and healing properties. It is derived from the comfrey plant.

Matcha isn't just for your latte. The healing properties in this superfood are great in skincare for reducing inflammation and helping even out the skin tone.

Probiotics as we touched on just recently, helps strengthen the skin's natural microbiome. This basically helps keep the bad stuff out and the good stuff in the skin.

And last but not least, our Marula Oil is a wonderful soothing and healing ingredient suitable for your face, body and hair.

These are a few of the rockstar calming and soothing ingredients that are in some of our {save} products - click on the name of the ingredient to learn in which products we've included each of them.

Let's face it, most of us are outdoors more now that the weather is nice and even with protection we are exposing our skin to different environmental stressors that can be irritating over time. Check out some of these products and see what they can do for you and your skin.
