{save} and Your Impact

Recently, the team and I have been reflecting on some of the partnerships we have developed over the last year. We are excited that we have been able to develop relationships with so many amazing non-profits, both locally and nationally. With your purchase, every month we are donating 10% of our proceeds to a deserving nonprofit that has a goal of empowering others.

In August, we partnered with Operation Happy Nurse, and had the opportunity to collaborate with their inspiring President and Founder Shannon McPeek. In addition to leading this nonprofit, Shannon is also a full-time neonatal nurse who discovered she was not alone when fighting anxiety and depression in this field. With a strong commitment and passion for her work as nurse, she wanted to find a way to support her colleagues. Thus, Operation Happy Nurse was founded! The mission: To help all nurses struggling with stress, anxiety and/or depression by offering a community focused on improving overall mental health and physical wellbeing.

Shannon stated: "I started Operation Happy Nurse to help decrease stress, anxiety, and depression in the nursing profession. It is a massive problem plaguing the nursing community, and was a problem pre-covid. Our nonprofit is out to support those who spend their lives supporting everyone else. We are so thankful for teams like {save} skincare who can help make our mission a reality. The kindness and selflessness that the {save) team has shown, will help make a difference in the lives of so many."

During this unprecedented health crisis, we wanted to support those on the front lines as much as possible. In June we honored a wonderful team of health professionals at the Legacy Cancer Institute in Portland by sending 80 products to support these awesome workers. Not only is this team fighting cancer, in some cases they are fighting cancer and Covid. Additionally, we held a giveaway exclusively for nurses to provide skincare products. It’s something small we can do, but we hope it makes these heroes feel taken care of as they spend their days taking care of others.

While health and beauty is our business, we are so much more than just a beauty company.

Like Shannon, we are passionate about our work, and love that we can offer products where customers don’t need to choose between safety and effectiveness. We recognize the important role that women play in our world, and believe that when women are confident, everyone benefits.

In September we are thrilled to announce we are collaborating with the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV). NCADV’s mission is to “lead, mobilize and raise our voices to support efforts that demand a change of conditions that lead to domestic violence such as patriarchy, privilege, racism, sexism, and classism.” Our team is excited to support this nonprofit for the month of September!
